This walks you through the Epley maneuver step by step and uses your phone's motion sensors to sense when you've reached each position — so you can keep your eyes closed and just listen.
Before you start. This is for people whose doctor has already diagnosed BPPV and told them which ear is affected. It is not a diagnosis or a substitute for medical care.
Do it on a bed, with a pillow ready for under your shoulders.
Have someone nearby if you can.
Stop and call your doctor for chest pain, weakness, numbness, or trouble speaking.
This is the side your doctor identified. It sets the direction you'll turn.
Step 2 of 2 · setup
Hold the phone to your head.
Hold your phone flat against your affected ear — the side of your head over the ear, screen facing outward. Not your forehead. Keep it there for the whole maneuver; a headband or a firm hand both work.
That's the ear being treated, and it stays facing up when you roll — so the phone won't get squashed.
We'll ask permission to read the motion sensors.

Sit upright for a few minutes before standing. It's normal to feel a little off right after.
For the next while:
Avoid tipping your head far back or bending down low today.
If it helps, sleep propped up tonight.
Repeat only as often as your doctor recommended. If vertigo gets worse, stop and call them.
